Risk Management in Component-based Development:

In this position paper we examine the various risks in component-based development. We divide the risks into six main categories and argue that they not only overlap but also cut across the various application development stages. We propose a risk management mechanism based on identifying risk management techniques for each individual risk category and then integrating the various individual techniques into a global strategy.
